Well the season is finally underway….. And we have already seen some of the favourites show their might and stamp their authority on the league with opening wins….

But the question is who will end of the champions of the Anglesey League 2010?

We believe that we may just seen one of the tightest league Anglesey has seen in a while with anyone from Trearddur Bay United, Bro Goronwy, Menai Bridge Tigers or Llanerchymedd looking strong favourites.

Trearddur Bay United

Maintaining the same team from last season, with just one or two players who left at the end of last season, the Bay should show a strong hand in this season and could again be making an impact in the NWCFA Junior Cup.

Prediction: Champions

Bro Goronwy

Disappointed to be returning to the Anglesey League from the Gwynedd League, Bro will again come up short. Should have a strong showing in all cup competitions.

Prediction: 2^nd

Menai Bridge Tigers

With a 7-1 thrashing of a much improved Llangoed side, you would expect Menai Bridge to be up there or there abouts. Home form will be key for Tigers as the in enclosed pitch and large following will surely be an intimidating for any visiting team.

Prediction: 3^rd

Llanerchymedd

Despite an opening day defeat, Llanerchymedd show and played great football on the day, only for fantastic saves from Bay’s keeper. We believe that the best chance of a trophy this season will come from one of the cups

Prediction: 4^th

Holyhead Town

Debut season in the league might be a hard season. All Holyhead teams can’t be taken lightly, especially with a large amount of the Town’s players are coming from Holyhead Gwelfor Athletic who resigned from the league last season.

Prediction: 5^th

Llanfairpwll Reserves

Llanfairpwll who finished the season last season very strongly will be looking to improve on last years 5^th position but we feel this will be much harder to get this season.

Prediction: 6^th

Cemaes Bay

Much improved from last season, Cemaes Bay could catch some of the favourite teams off guard and sneak an away draw or win against them. Shouldn’t be taken lightly. Signed a couple of Trearddur Bay players during pre season.

Prediction: 7^th

Llangoed & District

Another team that may sneak unexpected victories against some of the ‘bigger’ teams. Despite being much improved, will again suffer from a long hard season and if they can get 10 or more points, they should be satisfied.

Prediction: 8^th

Llandegfan

This will be a long hard season for Llandegfan. Despite being a hard to beat at home on its uneven playing field, we feel they will struggle to get their points on double figures this season and will even struggle for a win or two.

Prediction: 9^th
