Good Luck To All Anglesey Teams Playing This Weekend....

Saturday 5th September - Kick off Varies

NWCFA Junior Cup

Aston Park Rangers

V

Menai Bridge Tigers

Aston Park Rangers are in the Clwyd League Division Two and are currently 9th from 11 in the league. 1pts from 1 game. This will be a long journey for the Tigers and I’m sure it will be a hard task. Hopefully recently form and confidence will show and Tigers will win, but it’s not that easy. If Tigers were playing at home and Rangers visited St Georges Field, we would say that Tigers would have this one in the bag, but playing away to them if a different matter.

PREDICTION: Aston Park Rangers 2-2 Menai Bridge Tigers (Goes to Pens)

Abergele Rovers

V

Bro Goronwy

Also in Division 2 of the Clwyd League. This will be a ding dong match. Abergele and a strong home side that are not known for high goal scoring matches. Solid defense will be key for both sides but we are hoping that Bro will have the edge to win.

PREDICTION:
Abergele 1-2 Bro Gorowny

Deganwy

V

Holyhead Town

Both teams newly formed this year. This should be another close encounter with both teams wanting to progress into the next round. With over £300 in prize money to the champions of the NWCFA Junior Cup, Holyhead Town should keep that in mind as they may struggle in this one.

PREDICTION:
Deganwy 2-1 Holyhead Town L

Flint Town Thirds

V

Llangoed & District

Another long journey for our Anglesey lads. If Llangoed can arrive in Flintshire in a good frame of mind from its long journey, they may have a chance. Averaging 3 goals a game conceding, Llangoed should bulk up its defence and take advantage of Flint’s weak defence.

PREDICTION:
Flint Town Thirds 2-3 Llangoed & District

Waeunfawr

V

Trearddur Bay United

Trearddur Bay shouldn’t have a problem against this Cearnarfonshire and District team currently in the bottom half of its league. Barry Haigh to kick start his season and get a couple.

PREDICTION: Waeunfawr 1-3 Trearddur Bay United
